Nice work on the East Coast date, Chip! I have been talking about the original Racer's Only event at Inde back in March 2022 to anyone who will listen... The level of the participants really raises the instruction beyond the basics to push the envelope higher more quickly. The was a lot of information dealt out in 2 days. Pro Tip: If you have a non-rider attending with you (pit crew, spouse, etc.) get them to sit in on the classroom sessions with you and take notes. Then you can compare notes at home to make sure you don't miss anything. Most people I talk to balk at the overall cost. I will offer that if you are truly serious about your racing the program (both the on track instruction and the classroom sessions on mindset and sponsorship) can pay huge benefits. These things can help you bring revenue (continency, sponsorship) to your program. There are also some product deals through Champ partners that can yield additional discounts. (Note: I have not been serious enough about my own racing to realize any of this, but it IS out there!) -Tom
Are you able to take racer only if you are a white plate rider, but never done any of the schools before?
At the time I took Racer's Only I didn't even have a race license yet, just a TON of track coaching experience. The experience level ranged from me all the way up to some dude near the pointy end of the Canadian National Championship. Some experienced racers, some not so much, some young, some old, but everyone eager to learn. I think the proper question to be asking is this: Are you ready to be shown all the things you're currently doing that you could be doing better? To us old timers Cody Wyman is a kid, but damn can he dissect your technique frame by frame on video! -T
