It is time for this one to find a new home. Enjoyed building it and racing it for many, many years but time is catching up to me and 3 or 4 races in a day is behind me now. Man that rig is next level. Complete badassery! I assume it’s like a 125/250 GP 2 stroke in that it requires frequent re-jetting during a race weekend?
Not really. I have always tuned for reliable power rather than max power. To win first you must finish.
The reason I ask is I’ve always heard how much work a 2T is at the track, that it’s not a jump on and ride it bike like a modern 4T.
If the prep is done correctly at home and the porting is not excessive (like many are) they are no more work at the track than a 4T.
V5, D Superbike, Clubman. Probably more modern classes but Clubman and D are the only modern classes I raced it in.
Gainesville, GA. I was looking for better drive off the corners with this engine so I did not get radical with the mid-range so I could take full advantage of the drive. I've raced 2T s both ways and I liked this one better.
Depends on the state you're in. In Georgia mirrors, full set of lights. Tag holder, Speedo, Horn, Sidestand, Insurance and a tag. I'm probably missing something.
I'm in NC so same as GA pretty much. Does it have a generator to charge the battery and a wiring harness that you could connect lights into?
Yes, it has a generator that charges the battery. No, it does not have a wiring harness for lights or accessories.
