So does GG31, which bodes well for a good showing from him this wknd like his previous trips. Im looking fwd to cheering him on.
Crazy how far BMW are behind now. I can't imagine it's just the riders. When they had the satellite team with Gerloff, all 4 BMWs seemed to be top 12-ish. Top BMW on day 1 is 17th? sheesh.
GG31 P8 in both FP1 amd FP2! Something like 8 of the top 10 are Ducatis. I think A. Lowes amd Gerloff were the only non-Ducs. Edit: Rea was 10th on the Honda
There may have been some changes from what I posted. I pulled those from the graphic they show with the commentators at the end of each session.
Anyone else having trouble watching the video today? I bought the season subscription, and have been watching all season, and now it's telling me I have no subscription. Edit: never mind. I was using wrong email.
Cracking race today. I did not mind the camera crews staying on the leaders the whole time. They've really made all the right choices this year. Tomorrow, we probably return to our regular programming.
Lolol. I did that before. Used to use my personal email and that became so junk filled I changed to work. Next season starts and it takes me 2-3 rounds to complain to MotoGP. They nicely say hey idiot did you change emails? Fortunately one of the tv channels at that time was carrying the MotoGP race, so I was still able to get my fix.
GG with another solid result. On track to take over 3rd in the non-Duc cup and maybe with some continued consistency and good fortune, maybe he can even take over 2nd in that race.
Yeah he was one of only 3 in the top 10 that gained positions. He was up 3 positions from starting, Bridewell was up 4, and Lecuona up 1. I thought that pass he made on Locatelli right at the beginning of the rave was a good sign for the race. Locatelli passed him on lap 1 while things were still tight, and he didnt sit back...he passed him right back, in the brakes, into a right hander, with lots of traffic. He was also aggressive in the first few turns to hold position and not get shuffled back. Im excited for the Superpole race and race 2. Also loved the win for Lecuona, he was so pumped!
Another solid result for Garrett. By my math this moves him up 2 spots in the standings to 8th. Maybe as high as he goes but still look solid.
Under the "I wonder" banner... I wonder if GG and the Bimota boys hadn't been lumped with the Ducs for fuel restriction earlier in the year if they wouldn't have made this season just a little more interesting. They are consistently the top three non-Ducs in the top ten. Along a similar thought... Why hasn't the relative success of the ZX10RR and Bimota in SBK driven some participation in AMA? Money? Support? Availability? Admittedly, I'm a team green fanboy and kinda miss the Johnny Rea dominance. Can you even get one of the Bimotas in the U.S. if you're willing and able to cough up the bucks?
To sell a homologated ZX10RR between $10-15k over a standard R when all you get are a few stronger engine parts along with forged wheels is a pretty hard pill for teams to swallow if you're platform racing without major manufacturer assistance
