That lap one incident was nuts; glad everyone came out of that relatively alright even though some guys got pretty banged up. I think the MotoGP guys are going to raise hell about having to race there.
It seemed like Ianone really mis-judged how much of a squirt he could give his bike in between T1 and T2. Garrett did great to salvage a result in T1. Hope he recovers quick.
MotoGP won’t race there. Not after that turn 1 debacle. They can blame it on the surface but that track is too tight between 1 and 2. you could hear the team managers when interviewed this weekend how skeptical they were of MotoGP coming.
It reminds me of the other Czech track that WSBK goes to. I think the layout is horrible for big bikes. Looks like a fun 600 track.
Redding dominated the triple-race BSB weekend too, winning the highly coveted Monster Energy 'King of Brands' trophy.
^^ good for him I suppose. If he is happy and makes a living, what's not to like. I think you have to take a look at Taz and Scott and understand the reality of the difference between BSB competetive and WSBK competetive. Taz is a BSB champ as well, could probably go back there and win races right away. He was right around where Scott would have probably been on the Bonovo bike this weekend.
If he was circulating with the WSBK racers 2 weeks ago on their day 1 - that time would have ranked him roughly 16th-17th out of the 24 there. On a stock bike with a pipe and slicks.
