Glad you're ok and you can still walk and get a hard dick. Count your blessings. Glad you had gear on. Harley dude leaving the bar no helmet would have probably got a helicopter ride or a hearse ride.
Best wishes dude, I hope you mend quickly! Be careful on the trip home; driving home after a big crash and a hospital stay can take a little more out of you than you expect.
Good advice and kind words from all of you. Thank you, and I really don't know about the hard dick thing, I never sent any private pics. LOL It's just got done with physical therapy approving it. I want me to go home. Those guys are assholes. brutal.
I assume you have someone to help you get back to Boise? If I have to, I will volunteer to go watch your place in Baja for a while.
I just coated my keyboard with chicken n dumplins you @sshole Op glad you're still with us after all that! Man that sucks. Hope you have a speedy recovery. This coming deer season every hunter should declare "This one's for our boy". Fk those deer.
Already there ……I thought to myself, “ hey it’s just barely a month till archery……first one’ll be for bugslayer”
@motion , thanks for asking. I just went back and reread this thread, which was a mistake. Some of this shit made me laugh out loud and hurt my ribs. So fuck you guys, LOL. Also, some of the gibberish that I wrote is ridiculous where was my proofreader. I made it home from Bend with my son driving me it was the most miserable ride ever. I was taking oxy which I have figured out I cannot take. It makes me nauseous and I threw up twice on the ride home. Not a pleasant thing to do with broken ribs and a broken scapula. My daughter spent the night with me and tried to get me to eat more oxy but I wouldn't do it, so it was basically ibuprofen for pain relief. That didn't work, ended up calling an ambulance at about 5:00 in the morning. Got some really good drugs from them and a ride to the hospital. I was in the hospital from Monday until Thursday here in Boise. Turns out Norco is my drug of choice. Used to be named Vicodin. Which is what I took 20+ years ago when I crushed all my ribs, punctured and collapsed my lung plus compound fracture on my humerus. All on the right side. My current injuries are on the left side. I'm home now and making very rapid improvements everyday. Have slept in my bed the last two nights instead of in the recliner. It's rough but it's doable. Im taking walks twice a day. Im up to two half mile walks. My family no longer has a round-the-clock caregiver for me haha. They were taking turns having shifts to come over and watch Dad. Discovered a side of one daughter I had never seen before. She is quite organized and a very take charge kind of person. I have started calling her the line boss and asking some of my "volunteers" if they needed to get clearance for a day off LOL. I also discovered there's a lot of very cute women that work in the healthcare industry LOL. Which leads to another discovery. I become quite flirty when I am on pain meds. Seems the nurse is respond quite well to that sort of thing, LOL. Enough so to where my other daughter said dad there's easier ways to meet women than crashing your motorcycle. As I'm sure the majority of us know here narcotics will constipate you. One of the milestones I had to reach was having a bowel movement. Wasn't happening so began taking laxatives I wanted to get out of there on Thursday. Still no poop on Wednesday. Took a much stronger laxative Wednesday evening. Proceeded to shit the bed early Thursday morning around 2:00 a.m.. I was laying there having a pleasant dream about farting I thought. What a mess.. It's ironic also, cuz one of my go-to sayings is "well shit the bed" when things don't go right. . This irony has not been lost on my kids, it can and will be used against me over and over. My son went over and got my motorcycle and brought it back it is actually surprisingly damaged free as far as major damage goes. Lots of plastic torn up of course. I could have it rideable for probably a thousand bucks I could have it back in original shape for maybe 3,000. Now comes to hard part, I want to get back on the bike I love my road trips always have. I buy the best gear I wear it all the time I accept the risks, but with that comes the risk that I have to put my family through. When I sign on and accept that risk, I bring them along for the ride. And having them all gathered around me and taking care of me makes that very clear. I wish I could honestly say Im too scared to get back on a bike. That would make the decision easy. But, thats not the case. Lots to think about. Well this has to be the longest text in the history of Bugslayer not usually a very wordy dude. Probably longer than even some of the ones in the divorce thread. Im bored as shit. Thank you guys for all the support and the laughs even though it hurts.
Sucks to hear but glad you are on the mend. Rib injuries are the worst. I snapped left 2, 3, and 4. and couldnt wipe my own ass for a couple weeks. Maybe you know, maybe you dont so here is what helped me. Mira-lax- for laxative. Just a cap full mix with whatever fluid (water) once or twice a day will take care of that. Bidet so you can take care of the business easier after the above does its job. K-tape for the pain. It seems silly but putting K tape in the area does help with pain. There are YT tutorials to show where to put it for rib injuries. Lastly, never make decisions on your riding future when you are injured. Heal first, then decide. We all know its not "if" but "when". Sounds like this brings you joy. There are less and less things that do that when we get older.
What he said, both for the miralax and the riding decisions. Heal up, and glad that you're getting to see a side of your daughter that you hadn't seen before
Glad you're doing well, and hope people keep you laughing. Hurts like hell, but you need to laugh and be happy. Sounds like you have all the support you need, but I'm close enough-ish if you need any other help.
Holy hell, just seeing that. Glad to hear you are “ok”, that could’ve ended a hell of a lot worse. Had a friend not have as good of an ending hitting one smack tab broadside at 48mph and the deer was on its way up for a jump so he took the impact, bike was barely touched. Big reason why I don’t ride on the street at all here in NE Ga. Roads are all twisty and wood lined. Deer are about to get real active and more dangerous thinking more about a piece of ass than anything else. In your honor I will harvest at least one but this year probably 4-5 (we are way over populated in my area to the point allowing a week of guns during bow season- limits are 2 and 10’ and between bow and firearm season can hunt Sep 14-Jan 31. ).
