NEWS: Colton Herta has been named as test driver for the Cadillac Formula 1 Team and will not race in INDYCAR next season.
I saw that. I'm not so sure about him in an F1 car. He's fast but erratic. His teammate Kyle Kirkwood did much better this year. I wonder if them hiring Power helped in this decision?
People love to dump on Stroll but the facts are the facts... https://x.com/autosport/status/1963867205172347390
People say, "Stroll shouldn't be in F1, he's out of his element". Someone who is out of his element would be finishing last in every practice and qualifying session. Stroll does finish ahead of his teammate, a 2x World Champ, in some practice sessions, races, and qualifying (but not Qually in 2025 to date). Alonso does not smoke him every time on the track. You can hate him for being a rich kid, you can hate him for having a seat at a team his Dad purchased, but as far as his F1 talent, if he really was a cinderblock, he wouldn't have been there this many years. F1 is still a business.
He's got more pole positions and podiums then a lot of guys on the grid. Hell, Hulkenberg just got his first. 300 races later.
Stroll also makes more stupid mistakes than anyone else on the grid. Not to mention comes across as a compete asshole in most interviews…
I agree, while he is not the most charismatic he is legit a fast dude and deserves his seat for now. Younger upcoming talent may force him out but that is how shit works at that level. Personally I don't care for him but I'm not paying the bill.
Stroll could be the worst driver on the grid and I still wouldn’t mind it. Lawrence saved Force India when he bought the team.
Watched P3 for the first time in years, and the Cadillac CEO ws making all the right sounds. Enjoyed Chadiwck and Rosberg too.
