They haven't been deceptive. And the cars themselves will be Cadillac, not Cadillac "badged engineered" as you seem to imply. They have not hidden the fact that they are using Ferrari engines until their own engines will be up and running in '28, and have said as much. Designing an engine/hybrid system doesn't happen in 1 year. And you aren't going to do that until you have officially been accepted into the championship. As things stand, the engine rules could change by '28 (if the new 26 engine formula sucks in practice), and it's better to wait and learn what you can for the next 2 years.
