They should get faster each year. That's how technology works. The riders are in better shape than ever. They can accommodate faster bikes with safer tracks, more runoff, safer barriers, better safety gear, etc.
And keep any BOP considerations out the rulebook. Faster cars and drivers should win. Fuel and tire strategies are great but if every race is won by them I'll watch wimmins golf instead.
When does it stop? Safer tracks require more runoff, taking the crowd away from the action. Safer tracks eliminate tough sections, in case something goes wrong. There are human limits, too. You can't have drivers blacking out due to G-forces. Realistically, the rules need to constantly change so max speeds/G-forces are kept in check. No-one has enough money to keep modifying all the circuits to keep them safe, let alone keep them interesting, if the vehicles racing on them never stop getting faster.
A great step in the right direction would be to stop making the cars the same size as a Greyhound bus. And bring back engines that at least sound fast. Porsche Cup cars currently sound better than F1 cars and that is just wrong.
Somewhere between current pace and likely physiological damage experienced by fighter pilots exceeding twice the g forces and in 3 dimensions.
They canceled the Texas race back in 2001 due to excessive g-forces. https://www.reddit.com/r/INDYCAR/co...he g-force data for, continue on with the race.
Just seen this article ( can anyone confirm ) for 2026 but a lot can happen before than. Red Bull parts ways with Tsunoda, Verstappen set to get a new teammate https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/ot...n&cvid=58a325e84d1f40aebde3fc65dd69c7b9&ei=13
Checo Perez was confirmed for Cadillac. I don't think Bottas or Ricciardo should be considered for the second seat, unless Caddy wants to distance itself from its high-brow clientele target market. Both are too goofy for the brand.
Who is the stupid motherfucker at ESPN that cuts off the last 15 seconds of FP1 to cut to Sportscenter? People talking about sports vs competing in them? That person needs to be taken out back and shot. Am willing to travel.
We are in Liege which is where the F1 Experience has us staying. Get to start the adventure tomorrow morning and we are excited. Evidently the bus ride on Sunday evening can take up to 3.5 hours back to the hotel…..Ugh.
Damn, Jealous. That's my bucket list track. Fill your pockets with those good Belgian beers you can time travel back to the hotel after a few.
Oh yes, Spa is quite the experience trying to leave. The year I went it took us 2 hours to get 2 miles from the parking lot... and this was after a good chunk of the crowd left early since Verstappen had crashed on the opening lap.
