Looking at concert dates to see a band that my girl and I like. Both Durham and Charleston are small intimate type venues, which is what we want. Planning on a couple days before and after the event to see the area and explore. Never been to either city. Flying in from Boise. What's my move?
Charleston all the way. The food scene is worth the trip alone. The weather that time of year might be a little bit cool but definitely more comfortable than Boise. You can take in some history there if you have time to see some sights. If you’re so inclined, there is a large Palmetto State Armory there. The Firefly vodka distillery is great place to hang out and taste sweet tea and lemonade vodka.
best month of the year to see Charleston, from being overrun from tourists like me and my family the rest of the year
Charleston. Beautiful town with lots of history. No reason at all to go to Durham unless you're a Duke fan or a raging liberal ding dong.
Is Charleston the place that has a restaurant called "The Pink House"? If so, go there it was great. I went with my sister and while it was fun it would have been better with a date.
I don’t know the band but if you dig them why not both? Who has that meme? I’d get there for the first one and leave after the second filling the time between doing cool things in the area… lots of neat things for a westerner to see… nature things of course cities suck… lots of dudes on here with hookups in NC
Charleston is a complete shit hole. Over populated, expensive as fuck, traffic nightmare, over priced on everything......but the food and the charm and the history....Fuck that....can we break it off along with California and set it a drift.
And you can walk everywhere, tuck into a dive bar within a block, eat some of the best meals you'll ever have, and stay at some incredible hotels B&Bs, and lodges. Tell me you haven't lived south of Calhoun without telling me.
