Trip was great. We were there for 9 days and only one day with light rain. Toured quite a bit of the coast from Nazare in the north to Tavira in the southeast to include many sites in between. Took your advice and visited Sagres. Beautiful country and great food as you are well aware. Interestingly, it’s the first country I’ve visited that I could see myself living in.
Were the swells going off in Nazare when you were there? What about Portugal made you have that realization?
Large enough waves that the Surfers were being towed into / out of the waves but not the monster swells it's known for. As far as living in Portugal, it's a combination of the polite society, variety of food, topography, proximity to the ocean, ability to access other European countries and motorcycle friendliness that made me feel at home.
Being held hostage at a bar by the wife. Something about a big foosball game or something. At least the view is good.
