I’m in need of a new street lid for the first time in a while. I’ve always worn Arai Quantum in an XXL. I have a cinder block for a head, and the Arai is just a bit too snug. I picked up a cheap HJC I-9 and I don’t hate the modular. However, I’d like something a bit nicer. I’ve been considering a Schuberth C5 in a 3X. Can any of you weigh in on the Schuberth helmets related to fit and quality? I have to drive 130 miles to find the nearest Schuberth dealer. I’d like some legit feedback before I make the drive.
I've done roughly 15k miles in C3 Pros and I was very happy with the product. Very quiet and comfortable, even with a headset installed. Fit and finish of the helmet was also very good. I wear an XL in Bell, Arai and Scorpion and take the same size in the C3 Pro. I am bigger also and the Schuberth fit my head the best out of the bunch.
They fit amazing... like a warm hug for your head. That said, Bell helmets don't fit me at all and Arai not super well but HJC are solid. Guess it all depends on your head shape. YMMV.
