Selling my Rolex Exp II Polar. This is an A serial watch made around 1999-2000 with a Swiss only dial. What that means is the 16570 was made from 1989 until 2011. The watches from 1989 until ~1997 used tritium for the lume. These watches are marked SWISS T <25 to show they have a small amount of radioactive tritium. They removed the tritium in ~1997-1998 and used a lume called Luminova and these dials were marked SWISS since they didnt need the T <25. In ~2000 they switched to a newer Super Luminova and the dials are marked Swiss Made. this watch was produced for only a short time in ~1997-1999. Compared to the many many 16570 they made for decades, the Swiss only dial is much rarer.
The watch is in great shape. I just had it serviced by CapeTown Diamond in ATL....a well know watch and jewelry store with excellent service reputation. They did not polish the watch or bracelet as this one is now considered "vintage" and polishing is looked down upon. The only part replaced was the main spring with a Rolex part.
There are a few swirls and things on the watch case, bracelet, etc as you might expect from a 26+ year old item. But the dial is very clean and crisp. If you would like pictures of a specific spot let me know.
