Richmond Grand Prix?

The event will be held at the Richmond airport as far as anything has been posted. They will somehow design a course out of the land. Maybe use parking lots, who knows. Maybe it'll be beautiful like IRP!!! But it is purse only, no points.
 
Yup, it's on the runways. Haven't seen the track with my own two eyes yet but will by the end of February, seen pix and the layout is okay - not the most challenging but it should work. Lot's of room and hopefully lot's of spectators. The event is being put on by a local promoter who is doing a huge weekend with us, legends cars, karts, bandeleros, a couple of concerts and the like. Should be a great way to get more people into motorcycle racing and show off what you guys do!

Anyway, I'll get a web page on the event up soon. Have to nail down a few more details first.
 
That's right. We need to get more people interested in motorcycle racing and what do the spectators love to see? Yup, you guessed it... crashes! I volunteer to do my best pomel-horse dismount from my gymnastics repetoire for the sake of entertainment if anyone wants to provide me with a bike. (I think I nailed my best routine at the GNF)

BTW, I prefer Italian bikes

I agree one-hundred percent that we need more guys in this sport. However, I would choose the 130 mph highside, with a kickback and launch into a half-gainer to the haybales.

Okay - everyone get off this whole trip to the ER kick! Our insurance comapny told us that if our loss ratio stays as low as it is they might cut our rates so we are outlawing crashes as of now.

You're just going to have to find other ways to amuse yourselves and entertain the crowds...

Of course, if you want to go for that spectacular highside and not use the insurance companies money we might be able to work out a special dispensation for you

Training wheels. Awww man, you know the crowd would get a kick out of you passing an incoming plane at Richmond on your arse while wading your bike. Come on, take one for the team

The track looks pretty basic, but it also coulb be pretty fast in it's simplicity. Could be a good time. And as for money goes, wow, I like the idea of a purse up to 10th place. Pretty sweet. Although I do feel for the Vintage guys, they will be missing out.
