Is there a way to see race entries by class pre-race weekend? Curious who I'll know and how big grids are.
Pretty sure the first time you'll know who is registered is when grids are posted over lunch. Sure would be nice to know sometimes, though
you could use the "Race reports" section to get a rough idea on who is planning to attend that are users of the forum. Most folks that are competitors usually get each others direct #s for tentative event plans. Im pretty WERA has a facebook group as well.
AHRMA would do it through their portal.... It was pretty usefull to see who's way I needed to stay the hell out of...
I got bored the other night after reading threough AI thread and dumped 23-25 WERA results into Chat GPT to look at historical attendance for certain rounds. Curiously it coulnd't figure out why certain rounds fluxated heavily from year to year. After all of it's critical thining, I told it "It rained". The response was comical " Well that certainly would impact a motorcycle race".
I've been keeping some basic stats for events for the last 4-5 years and yep, rain does it. Funniest part is forecast affects it more than what actually happens at the track.
Sometimes - but with so many racers thinking race fuel is fine at $30+ a gallon I'm not sure they can bitch too much FWIW it's just over $5 for diesel around here.
