    Good Luck.
Your better bet if you really want to throw wrenches (or 3' screwdrivers) is to question the Zoning, Environmental Impact studies, water and electric demand (assuming it is a data center) and such. A petition only gets media attention, but doesn't actually change much.

It also wouldn't affect the sale of the property, but rather the future development of it. There are very few reasons for the government to step into a private contract, and so far as I can tell, this isn't even close to any of those reasons.

I enjoyed running there. I'll miss it. I wish the current owners the best in their future endeavors. They gave us a great playground and treated us well all these years.

Last I heard Jennings GP is still on the market. As a bonus you inherit a County chock full of the most obtuse tourism opponents... 20+ years of operation and traveling trackdayers have to drive to GA for a decent meal & 3 star hotel.

I've seen that parcel and was wondering what the developers were going to do with the land.I was thinking it was going to be an industrial park or similar.

Motorbikes are the meth of closed course speed fix but still a step above drifters who dont really need anything but jersey barriers... Ive seen private track rentals for just 5 auto customers have more equipment & personnel than 150 person motorbike track day. 2 ambos, every corner has a flag person... it helps when your customer base wont blink at spending $15k each for access and allow them to land their helos in the parking lot

The current owners have invested 15 million since they took over. Were they really gonna get that out of the property if they found someone to buy it amd keep it as a race track? I'm thinking they want to retire, maybe hired a broker to find a buyer and the data center people saw the property and it checked all boxes and maybe they paid 30
million. Because the sight work and infrastructure are already in place and its a remote location, win win for them sucks for us.Can't really blame the Stouts.BTW already
very wealthy people but that is beside the point.

    Heard Walmart bought it. Weird.

Not debating the validity of your info at all, but that hill seems like a big chug to run a distribution center on. But Walmart has people smarter than me stocking shelves, let alone running logistics, so what do I know?

The AI data center bubble must be close to popping. Thats where the unicorn money is being spent. Heck ones being built here and theyre talking about reopening our nuke plant which was shut down a few yrs ago.

That's what I was thinking when I heard it. Same for a data center.

I have no idea what a data center needs to operate as far as big, heavy things.

But I do know (kinda?) what a logistics hub needs to operate and it's exclusively big, heavy things.

I’m having a real hard time grokking (see what I did there) the cost/benefit analysis of spend brazillians of metric tons of cash to generate the ‘lectricity to power computerized customer disservice misrepresentatives versus having Apu and his 30 head-dot kids in a 200 sq foot outhouse in a third world shithole giving the same shitty answers for 29¢ a day.

Evidently AI videos are starting to displace "influencer" videos. Tic tocs bubble is bursting too.

Need electricity and cooling. And a few people but not many.

AWS contributed 15% to Amazon's revenue last year but a bit more than 50% of profit. Think about that.

Elk Grove Village just outside of O’Hare airport has seen Data Centers popping up all over the place and also in the neighboring Burbs. By the last count there are about 30 or more under construction. They bought up large tracts of homes for about 1 million a pop. Then because of the proximity to O’Hare over 50 have been built or in progress in the last 2 years. The town loves it as it brings in tons of taxes and less headaches than homeowners.

You know that thing? That thing where they said "the pursuit of happiness" thing? Well the pursuit thing they were talking about was, in it's essence, all about property rights. YOU own what is yours....not the king or the Duke or whoever. Sorry, but the owners get to pursue their happiness too......still sux, though.
