Why isn’t there a “Food Chain” grocery store chain in the good old U.S. of A.? Auminer oughta file a trade mark for that!
That’s what the NV scopes are for. I’d rather not. But when they get too close…….well I’m part of nature too, and looking out for my own pack first.
Most of the motorcycles in Mad Max (1979) were actually Kawasaki KZ1000s that were supplied by a local Australian dealership. To make them look more dangerous and post-apocalyptic, the production crew heavily modified them with custom fairings, spikes, and rough paint jobs. What makes it even cooler is that many of the riders were real members of an Australian biker gang called the Vigilantes. This gave the chase scenes a raw, authentic energy — some of the stunts were so wild that they almost ended in real accidents. The KZ1000 later became iconic, not just because of the film, but because it symbolized the brutal, chaotic world that George Miller created with a very low budget Top 3!! Glamour Stage photos
Last job, many moons ago, I had this older guy as a new hire. One of those moronically typical “I’ve been doing this for 30 years” types, but failed to explain he had 30 years doing a mindless production line type thing, zero custom work. Anyhow Mr.Know-it-all argued with me for 6 damn months about what bikes they were on. He swore because it was Australia they could have only been triumphs, nortons, bsa etc and in no way shape or form could they have been KZ’s. I ultimately won the $50 bet, when another coworker finally pulled it up on his smatfone. But I refused to take the money. I told him keep the money, just say out loud that I was right. Hard headed bastard just walked away. It was awesome.
