Netflix. What to watch?

Little Brother was good for some laughs. Eric Amdre carried that one.
I'm gonna have to offer a dissenting opinion here. :)
I put that on the other day as the heat was killing me slowly and I was too tired to do any thinking. It still managed to disappoint, although I will concede that's some of the sex jokes were pretty funny. But that's mostly because I don't grow up. :D

We started watching Mr. Mercedes and its pretty strange... a detective cat/mouse story with some dark themes.

The Crash (Netflix)

OK, W.T.F.? Who else has seen that?

First of all, the girl's parents are, in their own way, just as unlikeable as she is.

The best friend: the level of denial is almost impressive.

The crash itself: holy shit! I havent seen anything that violent since 9/11! How did that bitch not die on the spot?!

The judge: sentencing makes no sence after the comments she made. WTF? If you get a parole hearing at a certain age, there is a non-zero chance that you will be out at that age.
Just watched this. I sat there thinking the parents were worse than she was. They are awful.

The sense of betrayal the boyfriends father and sister appeared to go through as the trial unfolded was quite sad.

The best friend, I wonder what world she lives in. I loved the comment the prosecutor made about her.

Wife and I binged on it and finished it all in 2 days. We really enjoyed it!
I had a very different experience. I loved the premise and very much enjoyed the first couple of episodes but I think that it quickly went off the rails and got increasingly unrealistic plot twists. The worst might have been the scene in that bar with the Mexican standoff. Might as well toss in a couple of flying dragons and call it fantasy. :)

Early on it definitely felt like that. They're obviously trying to confuse you and keep you guessing. Of course, you have to keep some level of "suspension of disbelief". In reality, he would have been caught or shot 20 times over. We still enjoyed it though.

Well, if you're not that strict about watching thrillers that you can't believe, I just watched Bone Palace/Unfamiliar on my brother's advice. There's a little more blood but you might enjoy the plot. It's German, though.

Finishing up The Bombing of PAN AM 103. It's really good.
Yeah, that was interesting, especially as I remember it vividly, and a HS classmate was on board..:(. Interstingly enough, I have a friend now who was a Pan Am stewardess at that time who got off that route just weeks beforehand, and was tasked with helping the families in the Pan Am lounge at JFK.......

There is some pretty good motorcycle content on Tubi. I mentioned Bike World, but I also found a decent show called “Oil in the Blood”; about why people like bikes. Also, check out “Top 10 Motorcycles” (be warned, it’s from the early 2000s, but still good). There’s more motorcycle content on Tubi but I can’t recall the names at the moment.
