The Righteous Gemstones is back as of 2 weeks ago. Bradley Cooper was the in the first episode and it was pretty damn good. Also, The Studio is replacing Severance next week on AppleTV+ and is getting good buzz. Hopefully it doesn’t disappoint.
Rogue Agent on Netflix, based on a true story about a conman in the UK in the 1990's - 2000's. If you watch it, follow it up with The Puppet Master, also on Netflix, a documentary series which tells the true story of what is portrayed in the movie. It is even more outrageous and disturbing than the semi-fictional account.
I had started Big Bang Theory, never got into it. Watched Young Sheldon, which was excellent, and now I'm binging Big Bang Theory. The prequel definitely helped.
Glad that I wasn't the only that felt as though the show went through a dulling cycle. With that said, I'm not sure I'd brand it as hot garbage, but I will say that season 3 comes off as mediocre, formulaic and uninspired. Wanted to thank you for this. Started watching it the other night was pleasantly surprised. Thanks.
I thought there were some serious continuity errors. In Big Bang, Sheldon makes his Dad out to be this drunk, stupid, hick, womanizer, but in Young Sheldon, he came across as a normal, caring Dad. Unless I didn't see the right episodes of Young Sheldon, I will admit, I only watched a handful.
Into The Fire on Netflix. Holy hell... I'm not sure who's worse. The step dad to the step mom. The biological mom is a flake too.
We started the Netflix miniseries "Adolescence" tonight. Not only very interesting, but visually stunning. Both the first two episodes are completely real time. First episode goes through the arrest, processing and questioning of a suspect in real time. One hour of time was one hour of screen time. But mainly, both episodes so far where shot with one continuous single camera shot. (Like the first 20 mins of the movie "1917"). Now, there has to be edit cuts in there, but you can't tell. Even the end of E2 which goes to a drone shot. Amazing. Worth watching.
Common Side Effects on Adult Swim is pretty funny.. I like the animation style. Mike Judge is a character and an executive producer.
Has anyone watched Gold and Greed? Looks like it has potential to be the next Tiger King. I haven't started yet but added it to my queue.
Also the Dad on Young Sheldon was the same actor that played the bully from Sheldon's childhood on BBT.
