    onesixsix Oh, Bother

I would suggest your go with Shimano pedals. I've done the "try a different brand" on both road and mountain bikes just to come back to Shimano. They work and they last.

As far as which pedal to get, it really depends on how often you think you'll be taking your foot off the pedal. Since you're still getting used to clipless pedals and aren't sure, I'd suggest this type of pedal. It gives you the benefit of both a standard flat and the option of clipless.

Mallets showed up. They look legit. Pretty chunky looking, compared to my Candys.

I'm pretty sure their genuine. They're def chonk but I love the size.

Still run flats most of the time though lol.

They are super tough for sure. I have bashed mine on rocks so many times over the years and work great. Hell I think I'm still on the original cleats.

Been lurking in this thread a few times sram shimano this hyd versus cable brake that...I decided my old diamondback 27" recoil has been hanging in garage too long. Every time this thread pops up I say I'm gonna ride that thing.

Yesterday was the day....so after almost crashing 3 times (front and rear tires on different surfaces) and exiting off the bike once to prevent my old body tumbling on the concrete:crackup:

Is this bike trying to kill me?:(

The bike was just excited to get out and play. A bit of over exuberance is all, lol.

I may need to change out the tires since they are original and its 9 yrs old.
Also, i switched the brakes so my front brake is on the right but going from my brembo shod Suzuki to this bike definitely scared the crap out of me.

Yeah, tires that old need a refresh for sure. Depending on how old the bike is, it will be scary to ride compared to today's bikes.
But, that's what we all rode back in the day, and they will still work. Just got to take it easier is all.

Yeah, I got in over my head after too many years off. 4 to 6 after OTB and hammering all my left ribs. My ambition outweighed my talent. I fucking hate red clay.

At one point I was heading for 2 tree's and for a split second I thought I'm in big trouble then I grabbed both brakes and saved it

My ticker wasn't so happy with me though:crackup:

Many moons ago I had a VRS 3.0. All the local doofus mocked me for having full squish. I gave it to someone with the promise they could never sell just pass it to someone else to get them on a bike. The fella I gave it to was seen pedaling it last year... which I guess he kept his promise.

Anyone keep up with the DH series this year? Super weird finish at MSA with Loic not completing a finals run.

Max Alran and Asa are looking like serious contenders in Elites next year. Really makes me want a Supreme V5 but it seems like Commencal quality is overall pretty poor.

That was totally unexpected. You could see it on Jackson face when he was at the bottom waiting for Luic to start his run. Jackson had a great year and was well deserving to win the overall.
Essa is going to be a serious threat next year.

NVM. He had a warm-up crash that caused a gimpy leg.

Anyone here have much experience with Banshee bikes? They've been running a sale for a while on their frames. Eyeing a new Titan 3.2.

I’ve come to the realization, I’m not 30 anymore. Ordered one of these.

You'll have to let me know what you think. An Unno Mith is my dream Avinox bike.
