I think he has 2. One he bought from another WERA racer, and I think he built a new one (one of the hard to get HRC package ones straight from JapanLand) I could be wrong though. I'm pretty sure that's why he was trying to sell the one with red bodywork.
I am sure the Talent Cup will have some great racing, but it will not compare to 45 Stock 1000s ripping through the esses. As for BTR I find it annoyingly slow.
“Road Atlanta always delivers, and this weekend’s support classes are a big part of that,” said MotoAmerica COO Chuck Aksland. “Supersport comes in with real momentum after an exciting DAYTONA 200, and I expect that intensity to carry right into this round. Twins Cup continues to produce close, competitive racing every time out, and Talent Cup is giving us a great look at the next generation coming through the system. It’s also our first look at a new crop of Royal Enfield Build.Train.Race. competitors, which has become a real fan favorite. And of course, Mission King Of The Baggers never disappoints here — those races are always a highlight at Road Atlanta.”
Woah, Scheibe with a Honda? I saw they got Dumas this year, but I thought he was testing on the M1000RR Superbike
Scott always spends some time hanging out at Donnie Rowe Boulevard over the weekend. I'll ask him for one. As did Ski, shortly before he passed.
We did test on our M1000RR at COTA. We just did a test at Talladega GP Raceway yesterday, and we were quite impressed with both Alex and the Honda. He got up to speed immediately on the bike. The Honda is quite a bit different from the BMW in a lot of ways, but from our point of view, the Honda is shockingly competent in HRC trim and easy to operate. The new 26' ECU has quite a few quality of life improvements for nerds like me. I'm optimisic that Alex will do quite well on it with us.
Looks like the weather is going to be great this weekend. Cooler on Sunday but still perfect racing conditions. Can't wait for the new Superbike grid and riders. Looks like it's going to be a fun season to watch!
