MotoAmerica | Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course | Ohio | July 31 - August 2

I thought the Sunday Superbike race was one of the best I'd seen all year before PJ's crash and I couldn't wait to see what developed after the re-start. Thank you for screwing that up MA.
I could see that with 5 different mfgs and Scholtz figuring things out set up wise and SDK-Ricky Bobby in tow. Baz was catching the lead group too. Who knows if he could have got a win.

I hate to say this but M4 Suzuki had their chance with Richie. Put him on a BMW/Duc/Yamaha and he is up front fighting for wins.

Dude, you've been saying that for over a decade. :)

Probably but I know less since moving down here. Can’t find the races on the tv and more and more of the riders I know almost nothing about. I’m not searching out the info because I’ve gotten lazy because I don’t watch the races live anymore.
I catch some highlights on the YouTube’s but that’s when I stumble across them.

Totally my fault.

Loris and JD were putting in the quickest lap times before the second red flag. JD was back quite a ways but definitely moving forward and Loris was looking ready to make some moves. I suspected SDK was simply biding his time behind Mat and felt he had something for him once the tires wore and fuel load lightened.

So did they show that Mitsubishi suv that was going around the track to check on things before restarts and shit?!? I know I’m a marketing geek and product placement stickler but I would absolutely be livid if I was Honda…

You can do like me and remain marginally informed with the highlights on Youtube. I know you love FREE. They are usually up within a couple of hours.

I do when I stumble across them while on the laptop now and again.

I wish I could say something like the PLL or baseball has taken its place as taking up all my tv watching time but that’d be a lie. I’ve just stopped watching tv as a whole to the point I could almost not have a tv but come spring I need ma’ tv.

The series is good and love the racing but until I push myself to catch up on who is who I’m in the boat of not knowing shit about shit.

She must be a brunette with blue eyes or @27 would not have noticed. :)
I have no idea about who Hank was hauling around as they’re kids…… but….

There is a really tall brunette with blue eyes that works for a bagger team that I need to get to know…I saw her at RA and then again this weekend… I have a buddy that is a freelance data engineer for them but he has no idea who I’m talking about… he said they’re all tattooed up and skankalicious… but she is classy looking with distinct features… she doesn’t look like she tastes like Tacos but I’d sure like to find out as she looks delicious for sure :)

And…I was right about the fake titted tattooed up blonde… hoe-fo-sho…. Glad I kept it in my pants!

Supersport is moderately more restricted, the head is a fixed port job from one company, you're only allowed spec GYTR cams, have to run the restricted WSS ECU, etc. They get higher compression pistons that Hooligans can't but...

Hooligans are allowed to have more aggressive porting, any cams, have to use OEM or a specific aftermarket ECU option but aren't limited on the tune. They're not allowed to do anything below the head gasket save for a lighter R7 flywheel and stator but the Supersport R9 gets the same allowance so no difference there.

The other biggie, R9 should be a better frame vs the casting the MT-09/XSR 900 are based around, so... handling the R9 should have it, top speed the R9 has aero, but pure motor the Hooligan should have more area under the curve.
Hooligans are also not required to run MGPR. They can run “spicy gas”

Tech took a look at the top 3 in twins after race #2 and also the Karns bike ridden by Isaac Woodworth. They were specifically checking camshafts and the cam box area in the head. The Suzuki can run stock cams or a spec cam grind available thru V&H and Team Hammer. Aprilia cam grind is open. You are not allowed to touch the castings in the cam box area or the cam bridges to make room for bigger lobes. All bikes checked were within the regs. This was the first weekend we ran the 2026 bodywork. I had somebody ask me how we can get away with running a big wing on the front of the Aprilia. "It's stock bro...."
