Absolute fav is when Eucher responds to a pitch about 20 feet wide and six feet above the strike zone.... "and that one's just a liiiiiiittle outside folks" and takes a swig of Jack.

I still laugh out loud watching that movie too. Seem to catch it every two years or so.

I've been thinking about this thread a lot today, and I've decided that the right thing to do (which I haven't done yet, I'm embarrassed to say), is to thank Monte and his crew for nearly 2 great seasons at Mid-Ohio (that's how long I've been doing track days). I've really enjoyed riding there with you and your folks. You've helped to make me a better rider, and kept me safe for over 12 track days since last last July. Best of all (and with special thanks to my favorite STT coach, Chris - Gixxer 750, white van), I'm closing in on 1:45s and the opportunity to possibly ride advanced next year.

Lizard 1 - thanks for the offer. I'll be in touch via PM.

I'll look forward to riding with you all at Bluegrass next year. For those STT guys that still ride Mid-O - when you see a guy with LosPer on the back of his leathers, please come up and say hello after the session, or at lunch.

I know many of you have seen me - er, probably passed me :D (and yeah, I know I've fucked up once or twice-lol), but here's the bike - and the leathers.

STT will be greatly missed at Mid-O, but a decision was made and we all have to respect that. I have had some great experiences with STT and hope to ride some more events with them in the future. Mid-O is my local track but its nice to ride other tracks too. Thanks to all at STT for their help in the past and making everyones trackday experiences at Mid-Ohio enjoyable  One question though, if I decide to ride anymore trackdays at Mid-Ohio the rest of this year, will there be a new membership fee?

Always there to help. I remember the bike, too! Love the graphics kit. Again, any help you ever need with the track, simply give me a shout. As I have stated in my Rider's Meetings, we have thousands of laps there and ANY of our STT staff can help you out. What's really cool is that our guys know the line and the special things that can cause havoc to riders. If you ask any one of them, they will help.

I look forward to seeing that cool bike at one of our other venues. I also appreciate the kind words. Means a lot.

I only will make you support your comments. I push at times and I know it pisses people off. Many people tell me my internet voice and attitude is 180 from my real voice and attitude. Might be. But, I think the thing is that I force you to make a stand and prove what you are saying. I was simply saying and standing up against the comments that we and STT are bashing Mid-Ohio. We weren't nor are we... I will argue that for a long time.

The cross promotion thing? I can see where you stand and appreciate your opinion. But, my idea that this is a company and certainly, they will support what venues they run at in an effort to promote to continuing customers that STT is still what they expect - come out and play.

I also don't think that it hurts to promote a new venue that is probably going to be a serious contender. Think Barber when it came around. It was all that anyone talked about. It was going to be new and exciting as down in that area, there hadn't been a new track for quite sometime. BG is the same. We are excited and the funny thing is that we haven't been extra vocal about it since the Mid-Ohio issues.

Look back at the STT site, OR, etc. We've talked and supported that track from the start and will continue to do so. This is an exciting time for riders in our area.

Mid-Ohio is one of my favorite tracks and I will miss it dearly. Trust me. Ask Monte - I was giving out thoughts and ideas from all over the place as I wanted to stay there, too. He and Bonnie did, as well. We love the track. But, the track is only a small % of what we need to think about.

Sorry I pissed you off or that you feel I cannot be debated against. I appreciate your stance, I just think bashing Mid-Ohio isn't what is going on here...

As for not doing any STT events due to me on this forum, ask yourself honestly about the events I have been at or run. Ask yourself if I ran the event well enough to be favorable to all our customers. Ask yourself if I ever turn anyone away that wanted help or asked for it online. Anyone that does, I help 100%. Never have I turned someone away. If I cannot do it, I will find the coach that I feel is the best for you and that will show you as if it were me.

There are a lot of different personalities out there. Maybe I am harsh online, but I think if you read what I say in detail (I know, I type a shit load), you'd have a different stance...

where's Morph... I can't get along with him online either :p

the three of us should get together and pitch Fox a reality show idea... "3 opinions. 3 bikes. 3 guys who can't be wrong. 1 track." if they mic everyone up, we could argue politics WHILE riding, and critiquing each other's lines! (now THERE'S a topic I'll let you two duke out...)

I'm in a position where I'm dangerously close to throwing stones inside my own glass house. I don't think we'll suddenly start agreeing on everything, but I'll make a conscious effort to argue with a little more courtesy, and perhaps "agree to disagree" sooner.

your last post is probably the first time i've heard 'you' on a forum. I think I'll get along with Brian better than "lizard 1," if that makes sense.

I, too, apologize if i've been insulting or short-tempered. If you type "a shit load," I type two or three shit loads, and sometimes leave it to others to sift through the BS.

now that it's trackday org agnostic, maybe we can have an STT/NESBA/TPM/Apex2Apex/WERA 'summit' at Mid-Ohio, enjoy some riding, and leave the politics on the forum for a while :-P

Thanks for the props! Now get back to bashing Brian. :Poke:

In his defense, it's like someone just closed the playground in his backyard. He's put a lot of time & effort into those events, making sure everyone has a good time in the process.

FWIW, I obviously love the track & I'll miss it. I've done countless events there over the years without incident. That being said, during what turned out to be my last day there, I crashed going about 15mph in the wet. :(

I look forward to seeing/helping you at other STT events.

I might be in the minority here, but I like Lizard 1. It's brian that I was a bit indifferent to. He was so friendly last time we spoke it was kinda creepy. Guess it takes all kinds:up:
