I was lurking here back in 2005 as I started my racing career. But felt like it was a cess pool of bad opinions with an occasional nugget. I finally relented in 2009 and got a login so I would know what I had already read. I wonder how much time I spent reading the whole damn Durrani wheel thread… oy vey…

 

I was around the same time as @Monsterdood . The worst moment was when I sold a crashed frame and I was a squid and didn’t realize the headstock was cracked.

I felt so bad, I sent the guy his money back and told him to keep the frame and apologized a million times. He was using it for a stretched show bike or something so he wasn’t concerned as it wasn’t going to be ridden, but I still felt terrible.

my favorite thread was that damn Rollie Free thread. That guy was a great writer. Bad beak or something like that.
