After years of caring and driving cars that were fun enough and good enough I was going to go all in and then, I just let go.
This isn’t giving up it’s letting go.

and I own two Subarus. :D

I'd look at Lexus, either an NX or RX. Both will be bulletproof and the dealership experience will be excellent. I'd also say the crown signia and it's on my short list for a new car for me in the next year.

I'm not sure how the 2026 Avenir's vs 2024 are in similarity but I would do some research on their oil consumption issues. My girlfriend has 2024 and at her last oil change @ (12k) she was two quarts low and this seems to be a common issue. There is a GM service bulletin(01-06-02-011Q) that covers their acceptable standard which is "GM generally considers a consumption rate of approximately 1 quart per 2,000 miles to be acceptable." We're schedule to have an oil consumption test done at the dealer so we'll see how things go but I'm not expecting too much help from them.

I guess I need to grasp that. With this upcoming purchase, it will be the first time IN MY LIFE, that I will not have a manual transmission car. Since driving from 1983. I loved ripping around in the A5, it handled like a go-kart. The negative was that it handled like a go-kart. I get rental cars when traveling and am amazed at how smooth cars can be. I was clinging to the A5 way past its prime date because it was a 6 speed manual. Maybe it's time to let go.

I’d prefer the 3.6 v6 over a new turdbowl 4cylinder. Other than that not a whole lot of difference.

    Both are decent quality.

If you’re going that far, might as well go for the RS7. At least take one for a test drive.

There are four different Avenir models. You don’t state which one.

The Enclave is the only one assembled in the USA. The other three are South Korea and China.

If I were in the market for a new SUV, I’d strongly consider whatever these guys think.

I only buy cars new, because I like being the only person who's farted in that seat.

I don't do the same with bikes because they're open air and the smell of the seat isn't as relevant.

    This made me LOL
