I'm late chiming in here, but just wanted to add that this past weekend ROCKED!!!! Thanks Pete! As ALWAYS, your events are the bombdiggity! Always worth the drive from Chicago :)

Just recovering from a track crash in August, so this was my first time back on the track since. I'm usually a very consistent "I" rider, but I had a very difficult time on Saturday with "crash-jitters". But Pete to the rescue! He assisted in getting rid of my ghost by towing me around for a session. Sorry to any of you I may have held up in some corners on Saturday, but I had to get over the crash hump:eek: Sunday ended up being an AWESOME day and I felt my groove coming back.

Can't wait to go back to Tally!!!

Todd, I have to correct you on this statement you made. I am getting old and you almost had me believing you beat me but one walk through my living room proved me you didn't. :tut: :D First off yes we both jumped the start, 2nd we both served a stop and go.......but I won the race ;) proof in a picture below taken from my trophy shelf in my living room at my house.:Poke:

There were TWO Talladega Sportsman rounds that year (2003) http://maps.wera.com/legacy/results/2003.asp I won both :D

I also won the CORC Championship that year at the GNF.

I am old but not forgotten my friend, see ya next year at a trackday near you

For some reason Todd the results do show you as winning the Febuary round. (Mongo maybe can clarify this since it was before the transponders came on line) I am clueless as to why it is listed that way on the results since I have the 1st place trophy. I also accepted the trophy track side according to my wife who has the memory of an elephant and told me I won. It's all good man that was 7 years ago and we were old as dirt then and are even older now.......

Haha I think both of us are ready for the rest home..... I need new glasses obviously, I found a 2nd place trophy this morning from '03 Tally CORC...duh. After re-reading the schedule this morning there were 3 rounds that year at Tally. Oh well guess you did beat me or at least somebody beat me since I have the 1st loser trophy. Lol. It's all in good fun and I bet these youngins' today don't have that much fun. Sorry for the confusion it ain't fun getting old....

dunno, i was almost positive that was one of the few times i beat ya, Roy. I went before you (remember, i jumped and went with the experts, which put me in front of you), that was the first ever 2 wave CORC start. I remember running up mid pack of the experts on the first lap, and when i came around and saw the meatball, i was furious! Up till that point, id NEVER jumped a start, and since we'd never had a TWO wave start in the CORC race (only row break between expert/novice), i never even saw the big WAVE 2 that Rusty Nations was holding in front of me that day. After i saw the meatball, i rode like a madman that lap to make sure i stayed in first even tho i had the stop/go. Youre stop/go was after mine, and im almost positive this was the only time that year i beat ya. :D

Your memory is better than mine. I remember it was a very strange start that day. I was confused as when we needed to go. We were both on the front row and I think I even looked over at you and kinda felt hell let's go!! I did have one other jump star at Road Atlanta in a superstock race that year. I was slow so I really depended on a good start. The Tally meat ball had be furious to since we normally didn't run with experts. Oh well that is another reason for me to stick to trackdays, old and senile.
