Lap timers

I have been lurking here for a little bit and I thought I should join in on the fun. What would be a good lap timer to purchase? Should I stick to a GPS model?

 

If you can afford the coin, the GPS timers are the best thing to happen to laptimers in a long time. Check out the XT Racing GPX pro - it's an excellent all around track tool.

You simply cannot beat the XT GPS lap timers. They are an excellent tool that will help you improve your lap times, not just give you an ultimate ending lap time.
