If you watch close, they just went airborne?? going straight?? https://x.com/i/status/2060018920883384547
Yes word is they (Crowes) achieved liftoff in a straight line. On the one hand I hate knee jerk reactions but sidecars randomly sailing into crowds of people will get this entire thing shut down. They will have to look at something like NASCAR and WEC did with engineering the chassis so it can't fly.
That is crazy...you cant cheat on aerodynamics. It wins every time. The course of roads at the TT has too many rises and dips. For sidecars, this is where the risk of flight increases exponentially.
Drove past where Crowes crashed and Maria. Crowes crash slid forever! Tv doesn’t do these roads justice! They are rough
Just to confirm: The TT folks have decided that there's too much risk for the sidecars to become airborne based on todays crash? Or have multiple side cars gone airborne, but been incredibly lucky not to have crashed?
Have we ever seen sidecars go airborne? If it's something brand new, I could see them wanting to thoroughly investigate what happened.
It hasn't been a thing because they haven't been as fast as they are now. Instances of bikes going into spectators I can count on one hand in nearly thirty years of following the TT. Never a sidecar that I recall and never a flying sidecar in any way.

For several years. I'm disappointed to see the sidecar races cancelled this year but I'm surprised they haven't taken things this seriously until now.
Yep, Pete is the only American these days; I've got a son now (so am nOt AlLoWeD tO DiE) and I know Brandon wants to get back but it's a pretty big lift after you've been away for a while. Pete crashed earlier in the week but is ok and back on the bike. Go give him a follow at @petemurrayusa on Instagram.
We start our journey back today. Heading to Dublin for a day and back to the states Saturday. Had an absolute blast at my first TT! Doing a lap of the course in Blokes sprinter sport van and passing guys on bikes around the outside on the mountain was the highlight! I’m already booked for next year! The accessibility on the island is good! Joey Dunlop apartments are fully accessible with roll in showers! Curb cut outs are hit and miss and hills are brutal but the public transportation is really good! I brought my brother along and he’s able to pick me up and throw me onto the trains so I was able to do the steam train and electric tram. If anyone has questions on gimp stuff here let me know
Guys a f ing legend without winning the world could use a few more of him in it. Awesome dude. Low cloud cover. Wtf. Throw fog lights on those bitvhes and go
He’s comfortable, teams running like a well oiled machine that he knows well (now- takes some time after so long on another team), they have made some inroads with all his bikes- sum of the whole type of thing, the man’s put in the work and sure hope he gets on top. Regardless of who is hurt, bike issues blah blah. Ripping a 135 on a stocker made a statement.
