I was going to buy some in two different accounts, but that bullshit commission made me rethink that. I'm in for 130k shares. We'll be in the same boat if you go in that big! They need to do a 100/1 reverse split and get a respectable share price. Even if that's entirely irrelevant to value, perception is reality.
You are about my age, are you really going to let a $50 fee keep you from buying more? I remember buying stock in the early 90’s and that would have been a reasonable commission. Heck this one small public company I worked for, I had to pay the market maker broker guy in the 100’s on most trades, as I recall.

When it was down under $2, it actually *was* value. Their burn rate is approaching zero, and they have (last I looked) $1.77/share cash. I suspect that suitor who caused the recent pop will but them out for 5 or 6 and piss everyone off. I haven't been watching, but if JMIA hasn't instituted a poison pill, then they're open to acquisition. If they believe they are "The Amazon of Africa" why would they not protect the company?
