Won’t die a blob
In and around Reykjavik there are lots of high end trad hotels. Probably in Keflavik, but outside of that area it’s a crap shoot. We did really well with an Airbnb in Reykjavik as a base and a few guesthouses here and there. We weren’t going very far east from there as we were there to see my daughter play. It is a stunningly beautiful country and the people are fantastic.Never hit Iceland but it was on the list to hit. Are there "real" hotels there or just "guesthouse" style"? I have zero idea on it.
Also, there are lots of bike excursion companies if you want to two wheel around the interior. Many muddy KTMs and BMWs on our travels.
