I need a new handgun...lets talk guns today. :D

Haha that was only about a third of the collection. Those were just the guns that either needed to get dialed in, optic work, or I just needed some reps on for competition prep. A lot still got left in the safe at home.
Ahhh. Competition makes sense, either way impressive you can get through all of those. I’d just not want to clean all of them :-)

Guns ,motorcycles and cars are like when you’re dating in your teens and twenties. You see so many you want to take for a spin. Usually you’ll only keep one girl for the long haul but the toys can really add up.
All the high dollar guns I’ve had or taken for a spin I still have loyalty to an old beat up Savage Axis in 308. Things killed well over 100 coyotes with a $100 Nikon scope and $20 Amazon light. I don’t take her out in public but use her when nobodies looking :-)

Oddly enough I even enjoy cleaning all of them. It's kind of therapeutic. And more often than not, I go out with a very specific plan for what that day's goals are. And my whole day will be at the range. Not hard to get through a lot of stuff when you're spending 8 hours there and have a plan in advance of what order you're shooting in, what you need to accomplish with each, etc.

Every so often I'll get invited to a range day by some friends and it's just a bunch of plinking and having fun and on those days, I'll just bring a bunch of my fun stuff to let the other guys play with but won't actually shoot much myself. My tism doesn't let me really enjoy shooting much without a specific purpose. :crackup:I think that's why I've never really cared that much for full auto stuff.

That’s awesome. Some of the best range days I’ve had is where everyone brings way too much shit. we all end up trying guns other people have but I’ve only recently realized this is all a Jedi mind trick. I’m convinced the gun manufactures cast a spell on us to let people try our guns so the person trying said gun goes a buys one. It’s like a pyramid scheme with money just going to the top of it :-)
Funny because I let a buddy borrow one of my Mk IV’s that’s supressed with a red dot. Within 24 hours he had one of his own and just waiting on suppressor.
I get the cleaning and therapy part 100%.

Damnit. Moons great right now and should have clear skies for a few hours. Looked in the corner and ole faithful savage was staring at me. I’m going to see if I can’t get just one more yote with that thing, if vision becomes an issue I’m also bringing my way overbuilt / suppressed Rem 700 in 300 mag. Modified the Magpul chassis a bit and made up a few carbon bits for better fit for me. I’m 6”3” but only 32” inseam so have long was arms and shoot left handed. I haven’t use the thermal that’s on it, buddy sighted it in for me and it’s been sitting a month or so. And not it’s not overkill for coyotes, not eating the damn things :-)

Shot the frt today. Works as advertised. I don’t see how they stay legal for long
By this point in time and considering how many have been sold/printed, I cannot see how they would ever get rid of them. If anything a less friendly administration would have to be in charge and by the time that happens there will be millions of these out there. The files are all open source for anyone with a 3d printer. Similar to the glock switch making it illegal does not remove it from the "criminals" hands, only the law abiding citizens who turn theirs in. That is not intended to be a political post, just a fact.

Wish it were the days of ak combloc ammo price of 10 cpr and then it would be fun with an ftr. Now it’s too pricey to mag dump shooting at trash lol

Perhaps, but a mag dump or so, is very therapeutic after dealing with afternoon traffic :D

what’s the difference between these two? I see the wot is for an ar as it says on the box. Also what’s the difference as some brands are selling for $500-$700?

Do not buy from Rare Breed. Their trigger is a totally different design from the Super Safe. That hasn't stopped them from suing everyone who sells super Safe triggers and placing cease and desist orders on them to try and maintain a monopoly on the FRT triggers. Super Safe triggers are open source and the development has been a group effort by gun enthusiasts. Anyone can print these and the programming to print them is free.

I think the cult has got to me again and brainwashed me into thinking I need more guns. Anyone have any experience with the Daniel H9? Guy wants to trade that and a shotgun I actually need for hunting for some bits and bobs I have laying around. I’ve never even looked at one. He only bought it a few months ago and put under 50 rounds through it but wants a scope and barrel I have - which have both been sitting for a year or so since I upgraded my thermal. I had plans for the thermal but technology gets better all the time and sooner I get rid of it the better. I have no use for the barrel as it’s for a gun I sold over a year ago. Value wise it’s a fair deal if I assume the Daniel is worth - 850 and shotgun is a Benelli Super Black Eagle with chokes it came with plus a few more, includes a Pelican case as well. Maybe 100 rounds through this one.

someone wants to give you a SBE and a pistol? That’s not a bad deal . Garand thumb did a video on the DD pistol and I’m sure it’s fine. Not sure what you are trading but you can’t go wrong with a SBE

Ask for the serial number on the Daniel and look up when it was made. Early ones were apparently plagued with issues. But supposedly they did get all of those fixed. Maybe worth looking up timelines of that and seeing where this one falls.

Though to be honest, this sounds like a winning trade even if the h9 is an early model. Unless your scope and barrel as just some really high end stuff. But given their spares just collecting dust and there’s an SBE on the table as well, I say send it. Can always probably sell the h9 if you determine it sucks. And if it doesn’t, you have a unique pistol that you don’t see very often.
