StaccatoFan
Waiting for my name in the WNBA Draft, too!
Springfield released their version of the Staccato CS aka the Prodigy Compact today. Decent looking piece. I think the MSRP is about $1500
You are too right. If I could go out and buy a brand new Marlin model 60 I would do it tomorrow. I messed up the trigger in the one I got when I was ten. I have a 10/22. It isn't half as good.Ok so let me start by saying Ruger sucks. Everything they make that’s semiauto has been unreliable trash in my opinion (and I’ve sadly been exposed to and used a lot of the stuff in this category).
And yes this includes the 10/22. Marlin 60 shits all over it every day of the week. Don’t care about the vast aftermarket if it’s polishing a turd. I’ve had 2 of them and both were terrible.
The RPR was a good value when it was released but it has been far surpassed by many others, especially considering the price hikes on it recently. With so many build options out there and companies like Bergara offering the off the shelf performance that they do, I just don’t see it anymore.
Their American rimfire and revolvers are fine but good lord, it’s the easiest shit to build. My uncle bubba can build a passable revolver in his shed with a 40 year Bridgeport and a harbor freight tig welder. Hell, Taurus makes a passable revolver FFS (yes Taurus sucks, get over it).
and this is why it pains me so much to say that this makes my pants fit a little tight. I just might have to buy one before long (if I ever recover my other recent slew of purchases). https://woodshopwednesday.com/shop/...g-slot-oil-rubbed-finish-72940-sld-cst-wd-stc
After much thought about this, I pulled the trigger, so to speak, on the Mantis Laser Academy this morning. It should be here this Friday and with the expected cold weather after this weekend, I'm sure I'll get it setup and try to spend some quality time with it.
As another option, I’m getting a Meta VR headset then one of these:

Been thinking about it for a while…decided to go for it. Looks like fun and great match training.
I have it. Definitely worth the $. I have shot 28,000 rounds with it already. I am at the point with it now where improving my performances on each stage requires a lot of attention and focus. This does a good job of helping me work on preparing my mindset for matches. I really like the weekly series challenges which are 4 stages you shoot once each. Does a great job of simulating a match. As another option, I’m getting a Meta VR headset then one of these:

Holy shit that thing could lay down some hate.
NFA violation with giggle switch
NFA violation with vertical handguard on a SBR.
Seems like someone has federal time coming…
I’ve had a Rival. It’s a damned good striker fire trigger. But it’s not a “hair trigger”. Maybe a 4 pound pull.
I’ve got a gauge now and my Staccato XC Infinity trigger is 2.5. My Atlas is 3.5. Both are as light as I’d wanna go for a match pistol. They’re too light for my comfort zone to carry. My EDCs are about 5 pound pulls.
I just bought one. Thanks. More money I didn’t need to spendAs another option, I’m getting a Meta VR headset then one of these:

You won't regret it. I have already seen improvements in my shooting during matches since getting Ace.I just bought one. Thanks. More money I didn’t need to spend![]()
Which PCC are you running?Just finished a Pistol Caliber Carbine indoor match at my indoor range. This was their second PCC match ever and the first at their new larger indoor “warehouse” range. It’s absolutely huge.
