Hey, it's some day, maybe Friday! What ya listening to? Screw you IYC.

The kids at the student-run radio station are doing a live broadcast concert tonight from a house show venue. I'm listening and providing backup for the tech end of things. First band was Pool Chair. Third band (Manifest Chest) doing sound check now. College Radio.

Man, there are so many great bands out there playing and fighting that it’s insane. I hope they all make it in their idea of making it.
Anyone saying guitars and rock are dead are so stupid it hurts.

I’m old and set in my ways but my kid gives me hope that how ever long I got left I’m not listening to corporate AI drivel.
When I’m dead, eh, you suckholes can suck on the corporate AI teet because I’m dead, you suck and you deserve what you get. :D

Went to Billy Strings last night at Kia Forum. I’ve been wanting to see him for years and it finally worked out. My wife, she is fairly granola, had a horse, went to school in Boulder and dances like a tree when she’s having a good time. She was in Awe. I know a lot of you have seen him, but if you haven’t and like music you gotta do it.

Enya, Enigma, Simon and Garfunkel

Speaking of Enya…. Who sang that song “Smooth up in ya” ? :crackup:80s hair band…

Stephen Wilson Jr

He’s from Indiana too… same town as Mellencamp… just saw him singing Temple of the Dog with EV and his music is really good so far… he’s relatively new but 47 yo…

I hang a Bluetooth speaker on the wheelbarrow handle and set off into the fields for 3 hours, lifting horse manure erryday.
Man, some of the hair metal I liked as a kid is unlistenable now.

I’d only ever heard Men at Work hits playing on radio but I really dig their other stuff.

Needed some fun music after a couple of crap weeks so it’s been bubblegum pop punk. Green Day, blink, screeching weasel and anything I could find that made me smile and occasionally dance around like a goober.

wtf is Screaching Weasel? I saw a pic of someone in their shirt last week… just like in 1992 when at some basement show with Brainiac performing when this very unattractive aggressive girl in the same shirt targeted my buddy trying to do some mating ritual slam dance routine :)

Try Brainiac Dave…. I think it fits your description above… they were from Dayton OH and said so about 100 times per set…

Dude, screeching weasel is another one of those Lookout records bands. Simple music but just fun.

Normally I wouldn’t post a link to a song but what the hell. I’ll take the ban, I need a vacation anyways. :D

Just looked them up… holy shit they kept making music… I ain’t got time to explore but I did listen to this album back in the 90s
