Those have been popping up for sale within reasonable distance. But I’ve got to at least attempt to reign in my stupidity…….but they seem like a ton of fun. Did you get one?

Had one as an ice bike for a while and we had one floating around our woods riding group as a spare that never died.

You should bypass that and go on up to Redbird Crest trails in Eastern KY, a lot more single track to ride there and get away from SXS's.

Yeah we thought about Turkey Bay again.... Already been there twice. My buddy has the RV Spot already reserved at Windrock so we will see what the hype is

Parts for the KDX are becoming a little harder to find since they haven’t built them in 20 years. Ive got my fingers crossed that Kawis new 2T that they’ve been hinting at is a new KDX300. Ive got a 1980 KDX250. Ive ridden the newer ones, but always had a soft spot for the early 90s 250 with blue anodized inverted forks. IMO any year, or size KDX is one of the most comfortable, and easy to ride single track bikes that you can buy.

There is quite a few cool trails there if you have the benefit of a local guide.

It would be really cool to see full-sized MX bikes offered with super low maintenance, air-cooled engines from the KLX230, TTR230 etc. Get all the benefits of the racey MX frame and suspension but ditch the high strung race motor for guys putting around the intermediate track.

I guess 125s kinda exist for that purpose, but obviously more maintenance and a different riding style.

Plenty of places to camp, we usually stay at the Stinnett Community Center, it's paved and has electric and a bath house.

Yz125/125x apex heads? Any YZ guys here tried them out? Considering the XC dome, but with caution since the local annual hare scramble is coming up fast.

Well Windrock was a challenge… Ice in the AM then huge mud holes and major climbs mainly for Side by sides… We hit trail 16 18 and a couple others.. We packed up the bikes and went 25 min North to Brown Flats.. That place kicked ass after some locals let us tag along.. All in all great weekend..

Ok, I caved in. BBR had the big bore, big carb, and cam combo just come back in stock, so quickly ordered. Last thing I need is to find an FMF header since I already have the muffler. I’m guessing the FMF powerbomb headers are discontinued since having the Klx, I’ve never seen them in stock.

Big gun would be my reco since it has a spark arrestor as standard issue.
    Next would be Yosh.

I looked at big gun and got excited at first. They offer headers only as well, just not for the 140

I would imagine the stock header can be ported to accomodate the additional cfms until you can find an aftermarket system?? A lil stock class performance trick. :)
