Hardly...That was the point. Ford set the original "new" American record with the GTD and a pro driver. Chevy upped the anti with non-pro drivers but Ford (at the the same time) had to flaunt their Verstappen video because they knew what was coming. Next it's up to Ford to set the new record, I predict a 6:48 which will take Verstappen to do it. What's Chevy to do??? I know, get their own ringer.....I still think it's cool to watch it happen.

 

They'd be truer to their heritage if they made the two pro drivers drink at the same bar and then duke it out to see who comes out on top.

Just bought my first vette, it’s no C8 but I’m still so excited to own a C5 and it’s absolutely mint with only 45k on it. I’ve always wanted one and finally just decided to buy myself one.

So how has the new mid engine layout meshed with the old school corvette crowd? I’ve always liked the front engine look for the corvette but this C8 does look amazing I hope I’m still alive in 20 years where I just might decide to buy one.

 

The funnest part is how quiet the "made in Italy" crowd remains. They are not rushing to do any head to head comparos.

YamaRick took care of it for me. It’s the color I wanted and everything. I did want a manual but that just wasn’t happening. I had been looking for a couple of years for the right one and this one was everything I wanted except for the stick. I absolutely love it. It has the Quad top borla exhaust which sounds amazing.
Now I’m just trying to find a competent corvette guy in the northern KY area because I want to upgrade the harmonic balancer so I don’t have that to worry about.

 

This morning on a C8 Facebook page, I saw a guy call the new C8, a TEMU Ferrari.

Cracked me up! So many guys were pissed they closed the comments off.
