As many of you know, 21 year old Zac Chapman suffered a severe injury in 2009 WERA event at Virginia International Raceway. His family has been financially devistated during his long recovery. Zac's dad, Fred, is now the chaplin for CMRA. With the help of Family Powersports in Weatherford, Texas; a raffle has been organized to benefit Zac.

Here is an email I received from Fred Chapman, Zac's Dad:

"2010 RI White in color Brand new. Only has a few miles riding parade lap at several of the cmra races.
tickets are $100ea. need to sell 28 (approx.) more tickets to draw raffle, 1 out of 132 chance to win. That's some really good odds-way better than the Lotto!
All proceeds go to help Zac Chapman (former CMRA and WERA Champion, 2007 AMA Horizon Award, AMA competitor) with his medical bills and needs.
Can pay by cash/check/Credit, debit card.
    Thanx for Blessing Zac"

To purchase a ticket, contact Family Powersports at:
    817-596-3244
    Ask for Stacy or Daniel
You can also contact Fred Chapman for details at: flchapman@gmail.com

A website has also been developed:
    http://www.prayingforzac.com/home

This is good Karma. Remember, helping out fellow racer in need, makes you faster at the track!

Maybe. You are actually making a payment to the dealership parts department. You'd have to call them and ask. Let us know what you find out!:)

Also, according to Fred, if you don't like Yamaha, Family Powersports will apply a credit in the amount of the R1 towards any other brand of bike they carry.

Here's Zacs entire ordeal. If you need some inspiration, you need to read the thread. http://forums.13x.com/showthread.php?t=224418&highlight=zac

It's legit for sure. I've been at the last two CMRA races and have talked to Fred both times and seen the bike. One of my good friends is pretty close to Fred and I'll say that Fred is a solid individual doing what he can to help his son get better. He, and the rest of his family, are quite inspiring.

Yes it's legit or I would have nuked it not stuck it. The people running the raffle aren't on here and didn't post it - so call the shop listed with any questions.

It is for real. Zac is an awesome guy and a great racer. Mr. Fred and his family are some of the best people in the world and have always been an asset to roadracing. The bike is for real as well as the raffle. This I can attest to as I have pushed Mr. Fred around the pits trying to start it because the battery was dead and it doesn't get ridden. Fresh battery in it now though

I'd hazard a guess and say the raffle will take place shortly after all 132 tickets are sold.

I must say that in a world of interconectivity that it seems to be impossible to get info about something. Might be a good idea to tell them that if they want to help, they need to get INFO OUT

Dude, it says in the first post that the drawing will be held once approximately 28 more tickets have been sold.
