Yep during warmups, she was in a skybox with Randy Moss during the game. I’m jealous, my second favorite player ever save Barry Sanders. Anyway, going to be a challenging season. Particularly for Steve Belichick, defensive coordinator, coach’s son. Oof.
Did you watch the vid you posted? It was during pregame warmup. Not the best look, IMO, for any coach once you take the field regardless, but since it's warmup...don't see a big deal if it's short, general conversation and done. And geez.....that vid looks so fake....maybe it is. It'd never be during a game as they're usually in a suite during the game.
Could swear I've seen plenty of coaches and players family on the sidelines during warmup, nothing weird about it. I'd assume they'd all at some point say "hey, y'all have a good game, we're headed to our seats".

People sure do let hate control what they “see”. The lack of football intelligence among some people is really showing. He’s got 70 new players on the roster and is limited by the NCAA with how much time he can spend with the team/players/etc. That first drive, as they almost always are, was scripted with what he knew would work. That’s why first drives are often deceiving. After that the other team adjusts and his players need to know how to read and respond to those change’s. Clearly his team isn’t anywhere near that level of understanding. They are lacking some fundamentals also that I’m guessing is due to the limited amount of time he’s had with this team. The fact his son is the defensive coordinator should be more of a topic that who his GF is! The defense got destroyed last night. The fact he hired his son seems more egregious than anything but I truly don’t know much about his son. Heck until last night I didn’t know he had a son let lone one who coached. lol I’ve always been a low key TarHeel fan so I hope he gets things together, If the university gets rid of him before the season is over as some have suggested that program is doomed to mediocrity and it’s not the coaches fault.
Well, if I remember the sound bite I heard a while back, the kid took his last team from 99th ranked to somewhere in the high 20's on defense so he's probably pretty good at the job. I do remember he worked for dad on the pats for a long time.
Yep, I missed it was during warmups, but you still don't have conversations with your significant other at the D1 level. When the team is on the field, a head coach should be giving the full attention to their team. The school can choose to let it slide if they want, but it is a very bad look. Just being on the sidelines is completely different, all teams have outsiders on the sidelines, and conflating it shows the lack of intellect around the issue. Which isn't shocking.
What you're saying makes absolutely no sense. Or did I miss the video where the conversation is for the entire warm up? A quick conversation isn't going to remotely take a coach away from anything, don't care if it's D1 or not. The only reason it'd be a bad look is if you're already hating him (or the gold digger)

Meanwhile, actual experts like someone who just stepped down as Athletic Director of a local Big 12 school says if his coach did that, they would be having a conversation. Was the AD commenting on the discussion being during warmup or during a game as the initial incorrect post you made said? Either way that level of being upset about something so ridiculous is well, ridiculous no matter what their last job was. 2 whole seconds of talking - per the video you posted - is nothing and any coach he'd bitch at would be right in telling him to fuck off... As for me being an expert, using common sense isn't that hard. You should try it - especially before posting up something that was incorrect and then continuing to try and defend it

Agree with all of this. We'll see if he can get the current roster coached up or if he needs to recruit new talent. Seventy new players is a lot of inexperience. I don't think UNC cuts him loose. They understand building a team isn't a one year thing. Took Dabo 8 yrs and several assistant coach changes to make Clemson a playoff team and it wasn't until he paired it with elite QBs that they became natty contenders.
