I thought it was cause that Arab prezudent called em and told em where whitey was.

Its a shame the senate intel report and the house armed services report failed to address any of these things. i guess this new comittee will finally get to the bottom of things thank God.

So why do you hate all those government employees who serve in the armed forces?

And i didnt work for this administration, or what you apparantly see as he gubberment.

What can I say. Treason is pretty clearly laid out when you get to the level of clearance Snowden had. I would have some respect for him if he had done something like going to the domestic press or politicians. Imagine what the next presidentail election would look like if there was a hero who stood up to the evil NSA and outted the programs. Instead we got a traitor selling god knows what, tucking tale, and running to our friend Vlad. Yeah heroic.

Sorry Jed, I'm with the man of questionable taste in women and critters.

Snowden is the nearest thing the American PEOPLE have had to a hero in my lifetime.

Could get people killed? Must be a fucking nightmare getting intel now. I wasn't aware that Val was an OO spy. You make it sound as if that situation is on equal footing with the mistakes made in Benghazi. Yeah, there will be more yanking ahead, and that's unfortunate. Maybe the Democrats used lies to get beyond the election. In that same vein, maybe the Republitards can make some of the truth to work for them on election day.

But, shouldn't those who didn't do their job be fired for their mistakes? Maybe Hillard and company didn't provide the necessary security because the sources who were compromised in the Plame fiaso blinded intelligence to the impending attack.;)

But it doesn't really matter now.

I'm glad you have some buds who will vouch for you.

had he done it differently perhaps, but having been close to folks in his position all i see is a coward and traitor. not trying to justify the programs or activities, just my opinion of his actions.

what if it turns out that some bit of info he had obtained unbenknownst to him has resulted in the deaths of Americans overseas or compromised our ability to defend ourselves from some threats?

I heart the irony of the war on terror as long as its not in my back yard. :D

As said in prior posts please provide factual evidence to crimes and or mistakes not already cited in the senate and house intel reports? A simple request.

Guess it all depends on your viewpoint. If you view the government as the one you answer to, yeah, he's a traitor.

If you see the American people as the ones he answers to, you can blow that traitorous fuck Abe Lincoln's visage off Mt. Rushmore and put Snowden's face in its place.

I dont see the government as the answer. My opinion comes from the oath I took and the steps he took. he could have outted the projects without selling info to foreign countries. had he not done that then I'd classify him as a whistleblower. fighting domestic enemies does not require getting cozy with foreign ones.

Ok, I'll retract the sold, but I am of a strong opinon that the data he pulled is now in the hands of foreign governments which did not need to happen in order to expose the programs he saw as unconstitutional.

dont make me mix the epoxy.

If you're better at backpedalling than treading water, you might find Han Solo's situation prophetic... :Poke: :Poke:

Based on the reaction of politicians do you think he could not have found any ally to stand by him in the House or Senate or other national figure?

Based on the information he was divulging, do you think he could trust *anyone* within the comfy confines of the government he was exposing?

The Laws of Self-Preservation have a bit of a trust issue...and the actors in our government have a whole lotta bit of credibility issue.

As an aside, I really like gin, except for what it does to my ability to type on this damn Blackberry. :D

Im not. he looked at files he wasnt authorized to view. he read them. he thought they were unconstitutional and he took action. literal use of the word he. not applying opinion one way or the other on the constitutionality of the programs, just referring to his actions.

:crackup::crackup: If he had stayed, he would be never to see the light of day again. He would heve been called a threat to our system and filed away in unlimited detainment.

You are smoking obbummer's farts and have lost clean oxygen to the brain.
Your writtings are making you sounds as a traitor to the us constitution :(

He was nominated for a pulitzer. The country is backing what he did. The people bitching and calling him names and demanding his head are the politicians who are steering the ship right towards collapse and containment.
