Cool watch. I think these days watches that list those numbers all say "1 of" really to indicate the exclusivity of a limited production run vs the actual first one, and also saves on production costs by making them all the same.
Sorry you get to deal with that stuff. Save yourself and take the $400HKD I'm willing to spend. (truly best and final now).
https://chrono24.app/bellross/br-03-51-gmt--id41985045.htm?SETLANG=en_US&SETCURR=USD Just listed this Bell & Ross. It’s a fun watch for the price. Great shape. The Mars Swatch is sold. The Deepsea is pending but the buyer is a pain. Might be a good time to make me an offer . I got busy and didn’t keep listing stuff. Hopefully I’ll get a few more listed soon.
It’s listed as 42mm. I’ll try to google some other photos. I have mine all packed up for the new owner. I’m skinny and I wore it with no problems. Also just listed the Swatch x Omega Mission to Saturn. https://chrono24.app/swatch/moonswa...ega--id41989055.htm?SETLANG=en_US&SETCURR=USD
You might have better luck if you cross reference the Deep Sea on the Rolex Forum https://www.rolexforums.com/index.php Less dicking around on price, but more fussing and splitting of hairs over condition. #your_call
I’ve bought some watches on TRF. I like it, but I had trouble with my listings. I think it is because I had too few posts. I’ve been a member for a long time, but I only lurk. I need to revisit it. Especially when I get more serious about selling the Rolexes. I’ve only sold the date sub so far.
https://chrono24.app/tagheuer/monaco-gulf--id41987763.htm?SETLANG=en_US&SETCURR=USD Just listed this Monaco Gulf. Forum discount available .
I still remember when those came out and I thought, you know after they depreciate I would like to own one of them. I think the regular colored ones got down to the 110-120K range, which was still out of my budget and then went north. I think the heritage ones are 5-600K now. Unfortunately, that's above my pay scale. I'm not really a watch guy, but I've always liked Monaco's and the stainless Rolex's like a Sub, Pepsi, Batman, or the blue or green faced ones. White Explorer looks good too.
Years ago I had someone who wanted to trade a GT40 on an airplane. We used to get buy bids on that kind of stuff. It was a practically new car. The best bid I could get was $80k.
After Rolex's buy out and the anticipated shuttering of the watch making branch of the company a lot of Carl F Bucherer stuff is going on crazy sales. I snagged a nice piece for the wife because she didnt have anything but quartz movements, and it was something like 83% off. Now Im staring at a few trying to talk myself out of them. I really like the simple ascetics and the fact that the movements are/were made inhouse. Down side the Manero Autodate (John Wicks watch) is not seeing any discounts. Thoughts? Opinions?
