2015 Yamaha YZF-R1 Motorcycle for sale, was my street bike since I purchased it in November of 2015. Has 13,800 miles, almost all of that is street cruising, some track days (one or two a year). All tasteful mods, listed below. Bike was low sided in March at low speed (cold tires/cold road) and it scratched enough fairings that it was totaled by insurance, so I bought it back (I have the salvage title on the way) and put track fairings on it. I also have a set of new street fairings, lights, and brackets/etc to make it street legal again if you want to re-street it, it would be a fun project. Consider that, with a few hours of elbow grease and an inspection you could have an epic titled R1 street bike, or just run it as a track machine as is.
I am an 38 year old engineer and am meticulous with my mechanical toys, this bike has been religiously maintained with filters and motul 300V every 2500 miles or after trackdays (has fresh oil/Filter in it right now). The transmission recall was professionally completed in 2015 by Robert Ward (MotoAmerica Mechanic) and engine has been flawless. A change in plans and priorities is why I decided to sell this bike.
