Sportrider R6 slip on comparison back in 2004 had the D&D 3rd loudest out of 30 slip on's.

Kudos to you for trying to be respectful to your neighbors. I used to literally want to kill my neighbor who had a hot rodded little POS car. He would leave his house around 4am but before doing so would rev it and warm it up like he was doing throttle whacks on a top fuel dragster for about 8 minutes before he would pull out of the driveway. That being said I have a Yoshimura slip-on on my 750 and it is not loud at all. Anything is going to have more bark than stock though obviously. I had an Akrapovic on my old ZX10 and it was quiet as well

I had a 916 with cans on it and would coast down my driveway and fire it up on the street to crawl out of the neighborhood, if it was before 6 am when I went for a ride.

It went on for a few months. I could never catch him! I remember at least twice waking up from a deep sleep straight to a fit of RAGE and running downstairs and out the door trying to catch him. Eventually he pulled in one night and I walked straight over and was ready for any way it may have gone. Long story short he ended up being one of the nicest people I could imagine...hah. I ended up making a joke (he knew I rode bikes) that I understood that these high performance machines (referring to his low slung Cavalier with some full D&D exhaust) required proper warm up etc etc. He apologized and from then on he never warmed it up, just crank and roll. It still woke me up every day but no longer made me mad.

You're undoubtably laughing at the D&D one? Right?? It was always a decibel killer when you guys first started testing us
I remember several weekends of getting called over for discussion about my loud ass D&D. "Ohh...Im sorry!! Most definitely!!
I will not comeback with this exhaust Ever again!" Rinse,,,repeat. OP. I have a slip on Yoshimura on my gixer,its not too obnoxious.

hahaha I was totally ignoring the "least obnoxious" part and just being nostalgic thinking, what was a period correct pipe that sounded the best haha. even in your second "even IF" response... at least you recognize that factoid. whatever D&D did, they definitely had the tone nailed in those days compared to all the others... Yosh, Leo, M4, 2 Bros, Akra, Hindle, etc...

The most important thing they "didnt do" was make better hp/torque just alot of noise.
Its be awhile but the 05-06 gsxr 1k could make 3-5 more hp just removing the stock muffler. Someone made a slipon that made less power than stock.
