Brenden Ketelsen, astride his Pirelli shod, Keyes Racing powered, Graves equipped Kawasaki ZX6R won the Middleweight  Shootout at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway by a margin of 6.5 seconds over Alexander Enriquez and David “Aussie Dave”  Anthony.  Crediting his team and sponsors Ketelsen stated while he get a mediocre start but got around Enriquez and just forged forward while maintaining consistent 1:45 minute lap times.<br />

Friday and Saturday it was windy as hell, so we focused on set up More than anything.  Sunday Brenden laid down a blistering 1:45.7 in the Middleweight Shootout to edge out Owen Williams and Corey Alexander to claim the win and later in the day improved that time with a 45.5 in the Formula Middleweight race to also claim the win

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Just got back from the July 4th race weekend at Barber with Wera. Had a great time and the weather was perfect, albeit it was hotter then hell!<br />

This was my 2nd weekend on the R6 and I am even more in love with the bike. In Saturday&#039;s Superstock Novice race, I started 10th and ended up getting 2nd place on last lap! I was a solid 3rd place bike, but the leader ran out of fuel on last lap and coasted to checker flag. This was most likely due to a red flag we had. I ran a 1.36 in this race. I...<br />

Coming into this season brought a lot of unknowns. Finishing the 2021 season with a new PB on the SV of 1:19.005 and being on the cusp of 18&#039;s felt great but frustrating at the same time.       <content:encoded><![CDATA[My first GNF (sort of) was this weekend. In race 2 of 2 Saturday I ate sh!t trying to gain a position on the last lap over the tunnel. Ended up shattering my wrist, breaking a rib, and injuring my pride.<br />

There were 2 corner workers - Patrick? I think and another helpful gentleman that pulled my bike out of the way and helped get me to the crash truck through some very narrow walkways and hills. I’ve been working on the TZ750 since it came back from PI in April.<br />

If you remember, I had problems with fouling the plugs and ultimately the shifting problem on Sunday where the bike would not engage 2nd gear.<br />
<br />
Spent an entire day with WASCO to repair/rework the “bridge” between the trans and the crankcase. Had to use old style “black smith” methods to “Hammer”...<br />

Kept it upright in the rain (had a moment getting on the gas at turn 5 that definitely got my attention<img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie2" alt=";)" title="Wink    ;)" />, and was able to experience a great back and forth dry race on Sunday.<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I just wanted to say thanks to everyone that I met this weekend at Willow Springs and have to say, this was one of the best groups I&#039;ve had the pleasure of riding and racing with. <br />

From practice to the races I competed in, I never experienced any close calls or frustration with other riders. I ride a black R6 (#171) and need some more seat time to get up to this group&#039;s pace but even the fast guys passed me clean in practice. I even got to play with an expert rider in the C superstock race...<br />
